Our good friends had a stack of pallets that they used for seating at a party. After the party, they were kind enough to give some of them to me. I cut the pallets apart and chose woods of differing types. After cutting the various boards into the chevron shape, I used a variety of stains laying around/borrowed to create this look. The topper is used in the summer to cover the fire pit. In the winter, the topper is stored in-doors.
