For my 10 year anniversary I thought I would try to buy or make something out of aluminum. After some searching, I found aluminum roses that I could purchase online. However, I did not like the particular design. They had silk petals, and looked very mass produced (not that they weren’t nice, just not what I was looking for). I found a number of instructables, and online guides to making flowers out of aluminum cans. I was sold on the idea of making these. I adapted as I went, based on what I could find at the local hardware store. I ended up having to buy tin snips, and the die to thread the rod.

Step 3: Heat the aluminum to make it bend easier
